Big Bang Aint Got Shit On My Black Hole

There's some talk and a hefty article over at Discovery's website, if something could survive from one universe to the next, through a Big Crunch and resulting Big Bang? According to two researchers, a special class of pre-Big Bang black hole may have the ability to traverse the Big Bang singularity. Sounds... theoretical at best.

The upshot is that there may be black holes that existed before the Big Bang knocking around in our modern universe. What's more, we might be able to detect them through the theorized gamma-ray burst produced when these pre-Big Bang black holes evaporate out of existence.

But how would we distinguish between these black holes and the primordial black holes thought to be produced after the Big Bang? Well, that's just too confusing right now. Here's a picture of a puppy.

  10. There seems to be alot of theory with that blackhole stuff.

  11. dude at the end of tha day, outer space is just a theory. nobody has ever been there.

  12. Black puppy > black hole

Ugh, physics are too much for my sad, little brain.

  14. All that theoretical or quantum phisics is some kind of neo-divination they dont even know how to reach closest star system in reasonable time and try to explain the genesis of universe

  15. I'm skeptical of something surviving the Big Bang. We cannot even fathom the form of matter that existed before the Big Bang, this is something that is well out of out knowledge to understand.

  16. so there was something before the big bang and we are tiny little creatures on a tiny little planet in a corner.. so why do we care? we can't even get off war or earth to another planet..

cool stuff but really, someone is totally blowing money on the guy feeding you this information. Best hustlers in the world research science like this

  22. The universe is wild, i doubt we will ever find out the true turn of events or what existed first

  25. There is so much to learn about the universe, and who's to say we'll ever be able to find out?
