As we have waited! But no more. No other than Peter Jackson will be directing it, and it will be shot in 3-D, it is unknown yet whether or not it will be shot in New Zealand. It sounds like filming will start in about a week or two. The project is expected to cost about US$500 million (NZ$660m) to make.
Who's excited?
Ew, 3D...
ReplyDeleteI rarely go to the theaters ... over priced bastards ... and rarely care about 3d ... avatar just annoyed me. BUT ... I think I will make an exception for this movie.
ReplyDeleteHurray! Let's hope it will be as epic as LotR!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear! Shame about the 3d, i cant watch 3d films :/
ReplyDeleteI cannot frickin wait dude!
ReplyDeletepsssshhhh just 500 million?
ReplyDeleteIt took long enough!
ReplyDeleteNot sure about 3d, tickets are very overpriced
That's nice. I'm really looking forward to this
ReplyDeleteNeat, as much as I found Tolkien's work overly descriptive, it did make a pretty movie.
ReplyDeleteawesome. i loved the lord of the ring movies
ReplyDeleteSounds cool, but I'm hoping that the 3D fad dies out sooner. It's just a ploy to make us shell out more bucks for tickets and 3DTVs.
ReplyDeletenew lord of the rings???wtf
ReplyDeleteI'm not overly excited about it, but I'm still happy that it gets produced, especially when it's Peter Jackson, who've already proved that he will treat it with respect.
ReplyDeleteI'm not intending to go camping just to buy tickets, but the works of Tolkien proved to work well as a film, and I'll no doubt end up watching it at some point or another.
About time! Thanks for the update
ReplyDeleteA must see on my movies to watch in the theater.
